Punjabi samosa

Lets learn how to make ajwain flavoured samosa dough, scrumptious easy stuffing and how to wrap them.

Ingredients:
For it’s filling
1. Potatoes (mashed) = 3
2. Salt = to taste
3. Red chilli powder = 1/2 tsp
4. Coriander powder = 1/2 tsp
5. Turmeric powder/ haldi = 1/4 tsp
6. All spice/ garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
7. Green chilli (chopped) = 1
8. Peas (boiled) = 1/4 cup
9. Oil = 4 tbsp
10. Cumin seed = 1 tbsp

For it’s dough
1. Flour/ maida = 2 cups
2. Salt = 1/4 tsp
3. Ajwein/carom seeds = 1/2 tsp
4. Oil = 2 tbsp
5. Water = to make dough

Method

1. For it’s filling combine together i.e potatoes, salt red chilli powder, coriander powder,turmeric powder,garam masala powder, green chilli, peas.
2. Heat fry pan add oil and cumin seeds now add the whole mixture, cook for 2 minutes.
3.Now make it’s dough combine together i.e flour, salt,carom seeds, oil add water to make dough.
4. Roll the dough into thin sheets, cut into half.
5. Now stuff the mixture and seal the dough with the help of water.
6. Deep fry them and serve!

Beef rib-eye steak

Rib eye steak is easy to make in under 10 minutes. If you are a steak fan, you will love this recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. Beef steaks = 1/2kg
  2. Papaya paste = 1 tsp
  3. Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
  4. Ketchup = 2 tbsp
  5. Dark soya sauce = 1 tbsp
  6. Salt = 1/2 tsp
  7. Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp
  8. Oil = 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Marinate beef steaks by adding papaya paste,
    ginger and garlic paste, ketchup, salt, black pepper,
    dark soya sauce and oil.
  2. Mix well and grill steak four minutes each side.
  3. Serve with french fries.


Quiche

Ingredients:
For puff pastry:

  1. Flour = 2-1/4 Cup
  2. Salt = 1 tsp
  3. Butter (softened) = 3/4 Cup
  4. Ice cold water = 4-6 tbsp
  5. Water = as req to make dough

For Quiche Custard:

  1. Eggs = 3
  2. Nutmeg powder = pinch
  3. Salt = 1/2 tsp
  4. Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp
  5. Cream = 1 Cup

For chicken filling:

  1. Oil = 2 tbsp
  2. Chicken = 1 cup (cut into cubes)
  3. Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
  4. Salt = 1/4 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder = 1/4 tsp
  6. Black pepper powder = 1/4 tsp
  7. Onion (chopped) 1/4 cup
  8. Carrot = 1/4 cup
  9. Jalapeno = 6-7
  10. Cheddar cheese = 1/4 Cup

Method:

  1. For puff pastry in a bowl mix together flour, salt,
    butter, ice chilled water & water to make dough, wrap it in plastic and put
    in fridge for 30 minutes.
  2. On working table, sprinkle flour and roll dough with the
    help of rolling pin. Now place the crust into the bottom of the pan.
  3. Now place a sheet butter paper over the crust and cover
    the butter Paper with coins or beans and bake for 15 min at
    180C. This process is called blind baking.
  4. After 15 min remove all the coins.
  5. For it’s quiche custard in a bowl add eggs,nutmeg powder, salt, black pepper
    powder & cream whisk and put it aside.
  6. For chicken filling in a pan add oil,
    chicken cubes, ginger and
    garlic paste, salt,red chilli powder, black pepper powder, onion,carrot mix well.
  7. Put all the filling over the pie crust put some jalapeño’s & cheddar cheese.
  8. Now add quiche custard over it & bake at 180C for 10 minutes.
  9. Serve hot

Chicken patty burger

Ingredients:

  1. Chicken mince = 1/2 Kg
  2. Onion (chopped) = 1/2 Cup
  3. Green chilli = 1 (chopped)
  4. Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tbsp
  5. Salt = 1/2 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder = 1/2 tsp
  7. All spice/garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
  8. Coriander powder = 1/2 tsp
  9. Lemon juice = 1 tsp
  10. Flour = 2 tbsp
  11. Lettuce leaves
  12. Mayonnaise
  13. Ketchup
  14. Sliced onions
  15. Sliced cucumbers
  16. Cheese slice

Method

  1. In a bowl in chicken mince add onion chopped,green chilli chicken chopped, ginger and garlic paste, salt
    red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder,lemon juice, flour & mix.
  2. Now make small burger size patties and grill on grilling pan.
  3. For assembling burger put lettuce leave than patty than cucumbers,
    cheese slice, onion, put mayonnaise & ketchup.
  4. Serve with french fries!

Masala fish

Ingredients:

  1. Salt = 1 tsp
  2. Red chilli powder = 1 tsp
  3. Coriander powder = 1 tsp
  4. Coriander seeds = 1 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
  6. Red chilli flakes = 1 tsp
  7. Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
  8. Garam masala powder = 1 tsp
  9. Cumin powder = 1 tsp
  10. Ajwain = 1 tsp
  11. Lemon juice = 4 tbsp
  12. Gram Flour/ baisan = 1 Cup
  13. Water required to make thick mixture
  14. Fish Fillets = 1/2 Kg

Method:

  1. In a bowl add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, coriander seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli flakes,
    ginger and garlic paste, garam masala powder, cumin powder ajwain, lemon juice, gram flour, add some water to make thick mixture.
  2. Coat fish fillets and dust flour on each fillet now dip each fillet
    in marinate.
  3. Than deep fry each piece and serve!

Gingerbread Man Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. Flour = 3 Cups
  2. Bicarbonate of soda = 1 tsp
  3. Ginger powder = 2 tsp
  4. Cinnamon powder = 1 tsp
  5. Brown sugar = 1 Cup
  6. Butter = 1/2 Cup
  7. Egg = 1
  8. Golden syrup = 4 tbsp

Method

  1. Sieve flour and bicarbonate soda.
  2. In the same flour add ginger powder, cinnamon powder, brown sugar and butter.
  3. Add egg and golden syrup.
  4. Make dough and wrap in film and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Take a cookie cutter and cut out cookies.
  6. Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes until light brown and serve!

Grilled chicken tikka

Ingredients:

  1. Yogurt = 1/2 Cup
  2. Salt = 1 tsp
  3. Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
  4. Lemon juice = 1 tbsp
  5. Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
  6. Cumin powder = 1/2 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder = 1/2 tsp
  8. All spice/garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
  9. Orange food colour = pinch
  10. Oil = 1 tbsp
  11. Chicken = 1/2 Kg

Method:

  1. In a bowl add yogurt, salt, ginger and garlic paste,lemon juice, turmeric powder, cumin powder,red chilli powder, garam masala powder, orange food colour & mix.
  2. Now add chicken pieces mix well.
  3. Now in a grilling pan add oil and cook chicken until water is completely dried.
  4. Serve!

Cheesy Chicken Nugget

Ingredients:

  1. Chicken mince = 1/2 kg
  2. Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
  3. Salt = 1/2 tsp
  4. Red chilli powder = 1/2 tsp
  5. Cumin powder = 1/2 tsp
  6. Green chillies = 1 (chopped)
  7. Mozzarella cheese = 1 cup
  8. Egg = 1
  9. Bread crumbs = 1 Cup

Method

  1. In a bowl mix everything i.e chicken mince,
    Ginger and garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder,
    Cumin powder, green chillies, mozzarella cheese.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Make small nuggets coat in egg than bread crumbs.
  4. Deep fry and serve.

Mongolian Beef

Stir fry recipe with tender beef under 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  1. Under cut beef = 1/2 kd (cut into cubes)
  2. Cornflour = 3 tbsp
  3. Oil = 1/4 cup
  4. Dark soya sauce = 2 tbsp
  5. Honey = 2 tbsp
  6. Brown sugar = 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli flakes = 1/2 tsp
  8. Water = 2 tbsp
  9. Sesame oil = 3 tbsp
  10. Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
  11. Cornflour = 1 tbsp + 2 tbsp water

Method:

  1. In a bowl add beef strips add cornflour mix.
  2. In a pan add oil shallow fry strips for 2-3 minutes.
  3. And keep it in a separate plate.
  4. For it’s sauce in a bowl add dark soya sauce, honey,brown sugar, red chilli flakes, water mix well.
  5. In another pan add sesame oil , ginger and garlic paste.
  6. Now add prepared sauce , mix add beef strips.
  7. To make gravy thick add cornflour and water mixture.
  8. Mix well and serve!

Ingredients:

  1. Butter = 1/2 Cup
  2. sugar = 1 Cup
  3. Egg = 1
  4. Vanilla essence = few drops
  5. Cocoa powder = 1/2 Cup
  6. Flour = 2-1/3 Cup
  7. Baking powder = 1 tsp
  8. Baking soda = 1/2 tsp
  9. Milk = 1 Cup
    For it’s creamy filling
  10. 1. Philadelphia cream cheese = 1/2 Cup
  11. Sugar = as required
  12. Cream = 1/2 Cup

Method:

  1. In a bowl beat softened butter and sugar.
  2. Now add egg and vanilla essence.
  3. Now add cocoa, flour, baking powder, baking soda,milk.
  4. Mix everything well.
  5. In a baking tray. Spread mixture making small pies.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. For it’s filling in a bowl beat together cream cheese,sugar & cream.
  8. Apply filling on each pie and put another pie over it.
  9. Serve!

Chicken grapes salad

This salad is loaded with tender bites of chicken with juice grapes. Its creamy and crunchy.

  1. Yogurt = 1/2 Cup
  2. Salt = 1/4 tsp
  3. Black pepper powder = 1/4 tsp
  4. Salad cream = 1/4 Cup
  5. Grapes = 1/4 Cup
  6. Chicken (boiled) = 1/4 Cup
  7. Onion (chopped) = 1/4 Cup
  8. Almonds (sliced) = 3 tbsp

Method:

  1. In a mixing bowl add yogurt.
  2. Add salt & pepper, salad cream, grapes, boiled chicken, onion, almonds, mix everything together.
  3. And serve!

Ingredients:

  1. Butter (softened) = 1/2 Cup
  2. Granulated sugar = 1 Cup
  3. Eggs = 2
  4. Salt = 1/4 tsp
  5. Baking powder = 2 tsp
  6. Flour = 2 Cups
  7. Vanilla essence = few drops
  8. Milk = 1/2 Cup
  9. Chocolate chips = 1 Cup

Method:

  1. In a bowl, cream butter add granulated sugar, beat.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla essence, salt, baking powder, flour,mix with spatula.
  3. Add milk, add chocolate chips, mix well with spatula.
  4. Add batter in prepared muffins tray & bake for 15-20 min at 180 C.
  5. Serve!
